I recently spoke at the Real Estate and Wealth Expo in San Mateo, California on October 14th, 2018. I spoke about “How to Open a Dispensary” among other speakers such as Tony Robbins, Tim Draper, Grant Cardone, Daymond John, and Pitbull.

Interviewer: So you just walked out on giving out an amazing talk, the room was filled. So what were you talking about?”
Sara: How to get into the industry and how to make marijuana millions
Interviewer: Gotcha, and we were just talking a bit and you told me that this wasn’t your first business. What is it that you used to do before and how did you transition into this business?
Sara: I had a marketing agency for spas and salons and health facilities. Since cannabis was going medical, it was a great opportunity for me to apply my skill set. Everything is marketable. So the transition wasn’t immediate. It was a lot of hard work. In the beginning, cannabis was seasonal so I started in the industry years ago. We made a joke that we had more people in my room today than we had in the cannabis industry about 8 years ago.
Interviewer: How did you end up in this industry? I guess the better question is: there’s a lot of people at this event and are deciding what kind of business they should get into. What kind of person should look into this business further?
Sara: I always invite everybody that has a certain skill set to examine their skill set and see how they can apply it to the fastest growing industry in America, which is cannabis. So if you’re good at marketing, how do you market dispensaries, cultivation centers, and product lines? If you’re an attorney, how do you create a part of your law firm that specializes in cannabis? The opportunity is much greater than just having a dispensary and cultivation license. There are so many opportunities that realistically, anyone can get involved.
